21.7.21 . . . A few things the recent pandemic has 21.7.21
.
.
.
A few things the recent pandemic has taught is keep your food source as much local as possible and find connection to a farmer nearby. The need of the hour is "participative farming" or what is also called as "CSA - community supported agriculture" where you work with the farmer or rent out a small portion of his land where he manages it for you.

Since I'm not a farmer and you can't buy agriculture land in Maharashtra the next best thing to do is lease out land and grow your own food. So here I am on 21.7.21 beginning my journey of growing my own food starting with rice and hopefully many more crops to come.

I've worked closely with farmers since 2013 and now have a better understanding of words that people and brands just throw around - organic, sustainable, vegan, residue free, zbnf, natural, biological, eco, regenerative, zero pesticides, chemical free, etc

By virtue of being around farmers, I was fortunate to meet farmers who understand soil, understand different cycles in nature and have a deep and real understanding of the word "farming" which is truly to not just protect but also nourish the entire ecosystem we're part off i.e. working with nature.

Farming has always been extractive and has damaged our soil to an extent that over 30% land in Maharashtra (and India) has desertified. We we want to work towards healing our land and make it regenerative so it can flourish and gift us food and products that are medicine - healing us and also our planet.

We will continue working and partnering with farmers who want to be a part of this story of regenerating our land and growing food and products that are beyond organic.

We simply call them 'Products That Heal'.
Hairloss, greying, baldness... . . . No we don't c Hairloss, greying, baldness...
.
.
.
No we don't claim we have the magical oil you've been waiting for, because hair loss, premature greying and baldness have to do with many things over just getting that magical oil.

So let's see the root cause of all this :
1. Irregular oiling of scalp, it's not just the hair that needs nourishment, it's the scalp that needs it.
2. Lacks of essential vitamins and nutrients - B, D, Iron and Zinc.
3. If you are Pitta Prakriti (Ayurveda) - signs are regular acidity, belching, etc. - stop over doing Sour, Salty and Spicy foods.
4. No sweating. Sweating removes the body toxins which if not removed put more pressure on kidneys, eventually them not functioning at optimum strength causing health problems besides that with your hair.
5. Using chemical soaps, shampoos and conditioners to wash your hair.
6. Using plastic comb, which has a negative biostaric energy. Change to wooden ones made from Neem or Sheesham (Indian Rosewood).

So yes, get our bottle of herbal hair oil made traditionally but donot ignore the above factors and make changes to see changes in your hair growth and quality in no time.

Tip : look for chuna paani by Vaidya Rajesh Kapoor which has also been prescribed by many Ayurved experts to correct kidney, liver, bone issues which eventually will correct your health and hairfall.

Correct Health to Correct Hair.

Still buying in dozens? . . . Here's how you lose Still buying in dozens?
.
.
.
Here's how you lose money when you fuel your passion of buying large size mangoes and by the dozen....

Mangoes are upto 83% water, the larger the size more water it has and less solids. Smaller size mangoes have more TSS (total soluble solids) and also much sweeter compared to their large counter parts.

It's a general practice that bcoz we folks buy or prefer only large ones, hormones are used to get a larger size and then calcium carbide and other chemicals for ripening.

The small ones are just left to Nature to grow and mature by themselves effortlessly.

So next time you crave mangoes, get them not by dozen but by kgs and the smaller ones first.

Tip : always get raw and ripen them at home...it's the best way to enjoy poison free mangoes.

Who's loss is it anyway? . . . 40% mangoes are was Who's loss is it anyway?
.
.
.
40% mangoes are wasted and have to be dumped because of the choices we make. This is data from FAO while lot of produce may be going unreported as well.

When a mango is dumped because there was no buyer for it eg coz the size was small and it was pre-disposed off as 'un saleable' by a super market or a retailer, here's what happens :
> farmer loses money
> a year of hardwork is lost
> fertilizers and pesticides used only help the companies who manufacturer them but the farmer never got back this money spent
> everyone in the chain made the money at the cost of the farmer
> natural resources like the sun's energy, water and soil work done by microbes got wasted

So buy carefully, spend wisely, don't go by the looks, every mango is different, 'it has to be different' coz it was grown on trees and not produced in a factory and yes it may be spolit from inside so don't ask farmer for a refund.

Instead sow a seed yourself and try growing a mango tree - go through the journey yourself, be a part of the system that you ridicule and understand the story. It may change the way you see things (and mangoes 😊).
The fault in our eyes... . . . Because we eat wit The fault in our eyes...
.
.
.

Because we eat with our eyes first, we always want that perfect mango, that hero, that supermodel of mangoes with the perfect shape and size and taste that's not less than nectar from heaven.

Moreover, without cutting the farmer should guarantee it's perfect from inside - the way you dreamt it or it must be replaced or money refunded.

These are a few reasons why farmers have to use fertilizers, pesticides and cancer causing hormones in the first place.

And can you predict if the Mango or any other fruit will be spoilt or perfect without cutting it open? Where did we lose our common sense in the process of getting education?

If every farmer was a magician or God or if wishes were horses...(you know the rest).

So buy mangoes with an open heart, thanking the farmer for his hardwork and accept this gift of nature wholeheartedly.
Ayurveda recommends rice… Traditionally, rice w Ayurveda recommends rice…

Healthiest variety of Rice… Black rice contains Healthiest variety of Rice…

Black rice contains more Vitamins B and E, niacin, calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc compared to white rice. It is rich in fibre and the grains have a nutty taste. The anthocyanins not only act as antioxidants, they also activate detoxifying enzymes.

The rice arrests proliferation of cancerous cells, by inducing death of cancerous cells (apoptosis). It has anti-inflammatory properties and has anti-angiogenesic effects (inhibition of the formation of new blood vessels which encourages tumour growth).

It is also helping to increase farm income at it fetches a higher price to farmers due to its higher nutritional value.
